The Arctic has been emerging as a focus in the geopolitical discourse due to two primary reasons: first, its environmental sensitivity, and second, its strategic importance concerning maritime security and energy resources. Both factors are interrelated in their consequences. This article illustrates a condensed history of the Arctic energy race and what it means today in light of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Mitigating Human-Elephant Conflict in Eastern Ethiopia Under review at RSD13
This research was funded by the Tufts Elephant Conservation Alliance 2023. The Babile Elephant Sanctuary (BES) is home to diverse wildlife species, most importantly the endangered African Elephants (Loxodonta Africana). Due to its unique geography and historical factors, this protected region has become the center of the Human-Elephant Conflict (HEC). This paper links system thinking tools with environmental policymaking.
The paper uses system thinking methods to identify gaps in the organic farming sector of Sikkim. It is published as a book chapter in "Design for Tomorrow-Volume 3, Smart Innovation, Systems and Technologies 223" by Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
